Our win at Boreham Wood yesterday moved us up into 12th place (one goal from being in the top half and displayed on Sky News) – but here’s the thing – we are only 3 points from the relegation zone yet only 5 points (with 2 in hand) from the play-offs.  Not sure if I can ever remember a table like this one.

Chelmsford and Hendon are away – Chelmsford winning the big one at AFC Wimbledon yesterday in front on 3,124 and opening up a 13 point lead over the Don and credit to Hendon who seem to be getting stronger and stronger and have won all three games since we beat them scoring 10 goals.

Then in  3rd place are Ramsgate with 27 points yet they are only 9 points ahead of Carshalton in 21st.

The message here is as good as we are playing and we played yesterday our first target remains at least 45 points, and possibly more, to be safe from relegation.  We are only approaching halfway.

Next week we play Maidstone United for the first ‘Battle of the Stones’ in some years.  We will be without Lee O’Leary and Stephen Hughes because of suspension and possibly Ben Clarke through injury, but we will want to keep the same quality and commitment we saw yesterday – and if we can do that then we will continue going the right way up the table.
