An exhausting day

I write this at just gone 10.15 on Sunday evening exhausted by the day’s activities – and I left Grosvenor Vale at 3.00 – some were there until nearly 7.00.  Although having done at least three hours worth of club stuff since I’ve been home, those brownie points gained at Christmas from the family are fast disappearing.

We were thrilled by the reaction to the meeting, which was very positive.  Lots of people came up to me or have phoned or emailed to say how excited they are.  This was merely the start.

There is so much work that needs doing and we need to prioritise and then action.  We need commitment from people not just over the next couple of weeks with all the euphoria about us having a home but commitment over many months to get the site as good as it can be – and then some.

I like Charlie’s comment on the WFC forum about the Club being run by the fans for the fans.  Charlie who are you?  But it is true, I wish the Club had lots of money to pay top dollar for everything we want but we don’t and the only way we will succeed is by everyone getting involved – but we can now see the prize.

This is only the start, it is going to be hard but I think we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I’m going to bed now.

Originally a blog by a football club chairman, then focused on horse racing, now the random musings of someone who occasionally has something to say. Thanks for joining the conversation
