With great sadness

I want to add my comments to those already made about Jomo Faal-Thomas.

The news of Jomo’s passing has been a massive shock to us all.  Hearing that he had died suddenly from cancer seemed to defy logic when it is just over a year ago he was a young, fit and strong player with his career in front of him.

I always found Jomo to be a quiet, unassuming and polite lad, always a pleasure to speak to.  Others who knew him better also say what a nice guy he was.

We will hold a minute’s silence at the first home game of the season against Tooting and I am sure with articles in the programme and an appropriate collection we will demonstrate how much this news has affected us all.

Rest in peace Jomo.
